Affordable small sports car derived from the Austin-Healey Sprite sharing body and mechanicals. Progressed through A-Series 948cc 1098cc and 1275cc engines. Final 1500 version used Triumph Spitfire 1493cc engine. Rubber bumpers from 1974. Over 226000 produced. The entry-level British sports car for two decades.
