Fastback coupe derived from the Elite sharing its backbone chassis and Lotus 907/912 engine. More sporting and affordable than the Elite with two-seat focus. Excel name used from 1982. Available with 2.0 and 2.2 engines. Galvanized chassis from 1980. Around 1519 produced before evolving into the Excel.
