Six-cylinder version of the MGB with 2912cc BMC C-Series straight-six producing 145bhp. Intended to replace the Austin-Healey 3000. Heavier engine caused front-heavy handling criticized by the press. Available as roadster and GT. Torsion bar front suspension replaced the MGB's coil springs. Only 8999 produced in just two years.
