Redesigned to share a body platform with Mercury now positioned below the new Lincoln Capri. Introduced the 317ci overhead-valve Lincoln Y-block V8. Retained Hydramatic transmission. Lincolns won the Stock Car class at the Carrera Panamericana road race in 1952 1953 and 1954.
